The Barbados Golf Club and The Country Club Golf Course at Sandy Lane are two of the most spectacular courses in Barbados.
THE BARBADOS GOLF CLUB

Date of Play: Thursday, November 1, 2012

The Barbados Golf Club was designed by Ron Kirby, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world.  He redesigned the course to produce a fair, challenging and a pleasurable game for golfers of all levels of skill and competence.  The 6,805 yard course with a par 72 links style golf course, features gently rolling hills and wide open fairways that are forgiving and offer second chances to make a good score. Two lakes intrude and enhance play on five holes and create a dramatic 'Amen Corner' on holes 15 & 16. A series of coral waste bunkers carved through 4 holes adds to the excitement and personality of the course.

THE COUNTRY CLUB GOLF COURSE AT SANDY LANE

Date of Play: Friday, November 2, 2012

With lush greens, five lakes and immaculately cut fairways, the Country Club course is a golfer's paradise. Designed by Tom Fazio, this challenging 18 hole, 72 par, 7,060-yard course affords breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The finishing hole requires a forced carry over a freshwater lake, making it one of the most difficult holes on the course. Sandy Lane Golf Club's expansive driving range, located on this course, offers golfers a chance to practice hitting against the trade winds. The 2006 World Golf Championships Barbados World Cup unfolded here.
