DINING
A varied calendar of culinary events brings extra excitement to Mauna Kea menus.
The following dining options are offered:

SUNDAY BRUNCH

A Mauna Kea tradition, the unforgettable Sunday Brunch Buffet. All your breakfast and lunch favorites enhanced with Chef's selections of savory brunch specialties, including a "temptation table" groaning with irresistible desserts. That opulent ocean view from the terrace, the happy sounds of fine Hawaiian music and a glass of champagne make any given Sunday a special celebration.

  • Sundays 11:00am - 2:00pm

OCEANFRONT LU'AU

You remember. The fantasy welcome with a rum punch cocktail and flower lei. The background sound of surf against soulful steel guitars. Laden tables fragrant with imu-roasted k?lua pig, island fish, laulau, lomi salmon, sashimi and piles of pineapple, papaya, and more. Teach your keiki the joy of finger-licking poi, dancing hula to the "Hukilau" or being wowed by the fire-knife dance. Created for Newsweek magazine back in the 60's The Mauna Kea Hawaiian L?‘au completes the experience with a taste of culture shared by means of music, food and family tradition.

Tuesdays 5:30pm

  • Tuesdays, 5:30pm – 9:00pm
  • Casual Resort Attire

CLAMBAKE

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel ClambakeA longstanding tradition that's still the Big Island's most remarkable seafood buffet, the Mauna Kea Clambake is romantic al fresco dining just like you remember, beachside under the stars. Indulge your appetite for all the Keahole Maine lobster, sashimi, shrimp, crab claws, oysters, mussels and clams you care to eat, plus prime rib of beef and a decadent dessert bar all accompanied by Hawaiian music for dancing in the sand.

  • Saturdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Reservations: (808) 882-5810

THE BATIK IS NOW PRIVATELY OWNED AND WILL NOT BE PART OF THE PLUMERIA PACKAGE MEALS.

The Hotel's fine dining experience features creative Euro-Asian dishes, traditional
and spicy Thai curries, local-grown cold water lobster and fresh specialty produce
from Island gardens. The decadent dessert menu includes the Grand Marnier Souffle, Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake and Green Apple Fritters with Apple Ice.

The Manta Pavilion at the Mauna Kea Beach hotelTHE PAVILION AT MANTA RAY POINT

Dinner at Manta is an occasion every night, with a dynamic new exhibition kitchen to showcase our chefs' artistry and the next step in the evolution of oenology: the "Enomatic wine experience." An innovative way to serve 48 distinctive wines, selected from new trends, high-end and the latest stars from various vintners, the Enomatic is just one highlight of The Mauna Kea resort's new, extensive wine program, designed to surprise and delight again and again.

And in the morning, Manta is the place for long, leisurely breakfasting and pleasant conversation over made-to-order waffles and omelets, fresh tropical fruits and juices, healthy whole grain cereals and various irresistibles from the pastry kitchen with a second, maybe third, cup of the Big Island, Hawaii's famous Hawaiian coffee. This is the Mauna Kea's breakfast buffet, with its ocean-overlook and birdsong symphony, and this is what your family will remember.
